Yes, especially newer cars with factory fitted daytime running lights, wankers think they are nighttime running lights and having no back lights on does not matter.

And I forgot to mention.........
Why is there still a sidelight/drive option on cars anyway?
Surely, lights on, or when there not needed lights off. No dim 5watt twinkle coming at you in the mist.
And why is it my 2001 Merc tells me when I have a light out? But a 2016 Anything doesn't have the technology  :grumble :grumble
And please don't get me on WIFI hotspots in the latest models....... :wall :wall

Almost as bad, cars with both main and sidelights out on the same side. One out is unlucky. Both out is gross negligence. Is it a car or bike coming towards me?

Oddly enough coming back from walking my dogbot we are just about to cross the road and me and the Mrs notice a nob in a Peugeot 206 with no lights on so she points at the front of his car to try and get his attention about the lights , so then the wanker slams his brakes on shoves it in reverse wheel spins back to where we are "WOT" he shouts through the passenger window , my Mrs who don't say boo to a goose but has had a really shitty weekend and had her car written off , shouts back " you've not got your fucking lights on you stupid prick fuck off and grow up cos we're trying to do you a favour you ungrateful c**t "
I was thinking he was gonna get out and we were gonna have fisticuffs but luckily he just drove off as I'm more of a lover than a fighter.
how rude she says he didn't even say thank you

It's not just you.

Trouble is, too many cars have either a) an illuminated dash or b) bright front running lights (or even both) so, especially around town, the drivers often don't even realise that they don't have their lights on until someone points it out to them :(

Some cars with DRL's stupidly illuminate the speedo etc whenever the DRL's are on and rely on a "tell tale " light to let you know the headlights are on. Most drivers are too fecking stupid to see this and think "oh, the speedo is illuminated, the lights must be on".

I nearly pulled out in front of someone driving around with only sidelights on the other day. The vehicle behind it had it's headlights on rendering it almost invisible.

Not seen him/her recently but for the past couple months there has been a BMW GS1200 heading towards me on the same streach of road and they ride with full beam on bloody asshole and to add to the blinding beams of light they have high powered Aux lights fitted and not pointing at the road at all, it's that bright the first time I saw it I thought I was dead and heading towards the light to heaven (I knew I wasn't dead as when I die I'm going to hell  :evil :lol ) it's all good and well having all the lights so you can see and be seen but if you blind the fuckers in the process then whats the point  :groan

If it's a GS1200 on full beam, that's probably because he has cataracts, as well as being stone deaf and smelling of wee.

Or something I see a lot is when they have 1 headlight out so have to run it on full beam to actually see anything. Looks like a motorbike until the last minute.

If I had to pick one bugbear though it would be wankers in 4x4s/SUV's/Vans with incorrectly adjusted lights pointing straight out. It's bad enough on a normal car but with them things being so high you just can't get away from um. Even worse when they are behind and blinding me from every mirror in my car 😖😖😖

This seems to be the law with the GS dicks - I just let them past, lean down and tweak my spots + wack my main beam on and follow the feckers. Those wide bars they have are shite at filtering  :lol

I don't think BMW GS riders call it filtering, I think they call it 'get out of my way I'm a BMW asshole and I'm coming through if you like it or not'  :lol

I have DRL and yes STUPIDLY the dash is lit even with the lights off, the only difference is that the radio buttons are not lit and when the side lights are switched on the display slightly dims, also there is a very small tell tail amber led above the mirror but a long way above so that it is out of your line of sight when looking in the mirror.
In the city area of town the street lights are white LED which look great and light the street perfectly, but the problem is they work too well and you can not see your car lights lights.

I dont think there is too much of an issue because people only make the mistake in bright lit cities, and as soon as they get to an area where it would matter they then realise

Feck off I resemble that remark, blind as a bat , deaf as a post, you try and get your John Thomas out when you are bursting and wearing 3 layers, also if you shake it more than 3 times you will be accused of playing with it.

A problem occurs, when a percentage of these drivers you talk about, leave the city and still don't realise. I'e lost count of the clowns on the motorway at night, in the dark, with daytime lights on. And its a large percentage........

Shake away my friend, as i'm sorry but 3 shakes just does not do it. I would rather be accused of playing with it than get that missed drip cause that really uncomfortable wet spot  :lol
