DOH....gave you the wrong answer    :o ....low emmision charges only apply to diesel hgv / vans etc...so , no charge for your Eunos

so, no congestion charge and no emmision charge  :)  parking for a car is expensive though, working in holborn last friday and i paid £30 for 2 hrs parking  :eek ....was actually 2hr 9 mins but the guy let me off, would have been another £9......

I'm no expert on the subject, but I cant see a 1998 car being ultra low emmissions and avoiding the congestion charges?

Pay here https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/paying-the-congestion-charge

You'll be fine. Drive through London all weekend and pay nothing. On street free parking can also generally be found in most places at the weekend. Where you going? ~roughly.

Yeah the LEZ has put quite a lot of people out of work as they were unable to afford to upgrade vans and trucks to be compliant. I imagine cities like Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton etc won't be far behind.

If your going on the lash as well, better off parking up outside of central, get a MUCH cheaper hotel, and use public transport every day.
You will need an Oyster Card, or just buy a one day travel card.

When i say park outside central, i mean well outside.
I live in Harrow and we're talking 30 minutes on the tube for about 12 miles away from the West End.

I'm in zone 2. Plenty of free onstreet parking near me all weekend.
Have a look on google maps around where you are staying. On street view you can read the parking signs and see where is free.

Off street parking at hostel is £5 pr day, not to bad, car was free from emission charges so apart from extortionate price of beer its not cost me too much.... Yet

Haha, try Covent Garden, you'll be lucky to get change out of a 20 for 3 bottles of Grolsch.

Found a hostel in Ealing about £25 pp per night, not the Ritz but no where near as bad as the reviews suggested.

Paid on average £5 a pint, about twice what I can get a beer for in my home town but hey, thats the price, you dont have to buy it.

If you haven't been to winter wonderland I'd recommend it, just don't go on a Saturday, far to busy

Oh and I found a nice little flat to rent in Kensington, only £8k...................A week..........
