Just a heads up in case anyone fancies getting out tomorrow morning.Turn up at any services on the M25 by 11:30 ish, preferably wearing a red t-shirt/sweatshirt over your jacket. The aim is to have a ring of red around the M25 at 13:30.If you google M25 Ring of Red,all the details are there.

A great turnout at Clacket Lane services, had a good ride. Decided enough was enough at J13 mind.

Yep, I was at Clackets, was surprised at how many exited at Cobham. It was well fragmented by Chertsey so gave up there and went for a pint by Sunbury weir.

I think its just too big and too ambitious. It should be done at a race track, £5 entry or whatever + £5 for your your commemorative red shirt -or bring your own. get loads of tea-fish and chip and burger vans, beer tent, other motorcycle stands all of which will be paying a fee to the charity to be there. Get the air ambulance there who can charge for rides and once the ring of red is full swing they can get an aerial photo of whole ring and sell that too.
Start it all off with a 2 min silence and mark the end of the 2 min with a mas rev-up.
It would be a lot safer than the m25 and also would look much better and raise more money.
Oh and have it in the middle of the country somewhere.

Donington Park it is then.I'm not sure if the M25 ring of red has ever been achieved, but you have to admire the desire and preparation of the organising group. There are so many uncontrollable factors that can prevent it happening.I go on the Lee Rigby memorial in May,same organisers, obviously easier to arrange but always a massive turnout.

Indeed, I thought that too.

Maybe but, as above, if everybody stuck at it for a few more junctions it's certainly doable. You're advised that 45minutes minimum is what it takes to get the ring completed but too many drop out after 20-30 minutes. Either way, it's a good show in memory and is great to be a part of it.
