Wash your mouth out, you're on the FZS forum :eek

And buy the FZ6, a boxeye in decent standand condition is going to be a future classic in my opinion.

It all depends on what you want in a bike. The FZ6 is a bit more screamy with less mid and lower range torque than the Fazer.
Stick to the boxeye!

The ONLY benefit of the FZ6 over the boxeye is the standard headlights are better,
A set of HID's in the boxeye fixes this and is a lot cheaper than buying a new bike.

The FZ6 is a good bike, smooth as silk and very reliable (bar the tps which yamaha will replace as a recall). Didnt find the torque issue that lots say, pulled well enough for a 600 imo.. Had a couple. try one out if you not sure. A lot taller and physically feels bigger than FZS. They are not really a fettlers bike with the fuel injection and ridiculously expensive aftermarket exhausts. The fuel injection is brilliant tho on the coldest mornings. Battery position is a faff.. S2 version is best.. Only sold mine as people offered me a lot more than I paid for them.. ps Still like my current Foxeye, but anything Yamaha (bar keyboards) does it for me really :)

thanks guys i`m glad i`m among sensible people and not hot heads !
i`ve had an R6 years back and loved the power of the engine and the way it screamed ( my 2T blood) ;) ;)
so as the fz has an r6 lump i`m sure you can all see my interest :)

ps granted the FZ6 is a peach of a motor, but it wont quite make the power up top and scream in the way an R6 does ;)
