A couple of days off work saw me determined to finish my "hit list" of mods on my gen.1..............
AIS block-off is now done, using caps from stevegixer.
Carb water hose removed & blocked off, radiator flushed & coolant renewed.
Hyperpro progressive fork springs, fresh fork oil, new gliders, sliders & seals - turned into an unwanted extra expense as the bike's compression damping adjusters were seized so I had to buy some good condition used fork leg lowers to use. :eek :(
Coming as I do from the world of air cooled twins...man there is a lot of plumbing on these Fazers! :rolleyes
A big thank you goes to my good pal PJ (PieEater to you lot!) for helping me do the forks! Top man! :D
The bike breaker I bought the lowers from was kindly recommended by b1k3rdude - Pitstop m/c (A1 Bike Breakers), 01773 512366. They are very helpful folk!
Phew! :) Just need to find some time to actually ride the darn thing now! :rolleyes

You have been busy Andy!
Are you pleased with your improvements?!

Just remove the AIS on my fzs1000 so i can get to work on checking clearances and changing plugs etc
Do you know how it affects MOT?
i.e. i want to leave mine off and as you have done....will it pass an MOT?
-
Yes, no problems with MOT. I don't know if it's changed in recent years but I recall bikes were never subject to emissions testing in the UK. Even if they have introduced a check, removing the AIS won't affect the results.

Thats good as i removed it last night in the process of getting to other bits and never had such a mess on with something!
