Title: FZ1 Rear Shock
Post by: Harvey on 19 August 2016, 02:51:40 pm
I am approaching 30k miles do you think l should replace the original rear shock?
If so what would be a good but reasonably priced replacement?
Thanks in advance.

I have a very low milage (4.5k) rear shock cheap .
But you could  contact luke ( devilsyam) for an R6 converted shock.a proven upgrade at a reasonable price.

Is the R6 shock suitable for a Gen 1 or 2?

I bought a Satan's adapter and fitted an R1 shock. Total cost was about £150. The difference is night and day.

Nitron make an excellent shock for the Gen II FZ1, the NTR R1 sport.

It works well and is easy to set up and is perfect for road use with the occasional trackday.

drill out top bush from 10mm to 12mm
2 spacers to make up the narrower R6 shock (top) 2.5mm each
130mm dog bones to bring back up to stock

No, Satan adapter enables you to fit R1 shock 2004-2007 to Gen2 without relocating Reg/Rec or exup motor.
