I recently bought some shitty £10 grips from local store, only to find out they slip in hot weather when palms get sweaty, and that's often here in Croatia because we have long hot summers.
Any recommendation for better ones?

Galindo super bike grips, been my favourite for years.
Nice and tacky when warm.

I've had a look , want some myself but the only place I've found them on the interWeb is EBC. I'll ask about them on Monday. Saw some on flea bay but postage was a bit steep, not had my fazer long so planned to ride it for the rest of the nice weather then do some work on it, grips would've been on the list, they're spot on. Think I'll get some now tho.

is grips the real problem? you could buy better gloves and not have that problem-just a thought :D

No way I'd wear gloves around town in summer here where's 38 degrees Celsius :D

It may be 38 Degrees but you'll be sorry when you have no skin left on your hands if you have an off. I don't care how hot it is you should always protect yourself.

Actually you can have mine they only get loose when it's wet ie twice a week but fine in summer! Think it was Tuesday this year

Finally got them from a retailer in my country.
They're fine for now, although a bit on the hard side, but at least they don't slip !
Also they're a bit shorter than previous ones, so now I have some space between them and the weight.

Good to hear you managed to get hold of them (no pun intended) mine should be here on Tuesday.
I'm not 100% certain but I think they make two different length grips.
I saw what I thought was them in a bike shop last week, they were identical , even had superbike written on them but they weren't made by galindo.

I received some kind of spacer with them but didn't put it.
Let me know when you get yours are they a bit short.

Was the spacer like a large washer ? If so it'd be for the throttle side between grip and the throttle body.

Yes, and I didn't put it. Now it's gonna be a problem to take off the grip :(

I wouldn't worry about it if the grips ain't rubbing. It's a bugger when things like that happen tho eh.

Got my grips earlier this week, they're 120mm long, it says SB short on the pack so looks like there's two lengths. I've not got bar end weights but they don't supply the plastic end plugs anymore, seem to remember they used to supply glue with them too but never mind eh. They feel harder than the last ones I had but that could've down to them being new. Just gotta get my new risers and renthals now and on they'll go.

Generally 2 lengths of grips 120 mm or 125mm I got short ones for my Kawasaki - and was left with 'the gap' :rolleyes
I'm guessing the fazer ones should be 125mm also?

Heated grips are a must.......i use them for a large part of the year in the UK, great in the rain, even better in the cold, i simply couldn't do without them now.
A bit like a woolly hat in the snow......you don't have to wear one, but it's so much nicer if you do. :thumbup
