Reeto,
I've whacked a new set of sprockets and chain on the fz6, however the cheap peice of shit riveting too I had has apparently got a riveting bit that's softer than the rivet...
so I've been trying to bash the rivet to flare it and used whatever i could find to do so, however i'm not sure how much is enough to not result in all of the death.
Is the pic below flared enough?

Looks good to me. I use two hammers when I rivet a link.

the rivet end was a lot tougher and harder than I expected, had to give it a fair number of taps to get it like this..
is that normal? everything i tried to push in the hole to flare ended up worse off than the rivet end :rollin

Yes some rivets don't have a big enough hole in the middle and don't flare out. I put a lump hammer behind the rivet link and tap the front with a ball pein hammer to flare it over just enough.

they weren't flared enough, I went an acquired a digital caliper and a riveting pin from a motion pro tool and bodged it into my cheap chinese tool which did the job fine then :lol
