Title: Rear shock change
Post by: etitkcin on 24 May 2016, 10:51:20 pm
I'm thinking about changing the standard rear shock for a R1, has anyone done this?

I'm not sure but seriously consider the R6 Shock conversion, does wonders for the bike - there is a thread in the forum somewhere, should be on the first couple of pages - No doubt Luke will be here soon and give more info.

Cheers

I've got an R6 shock on mine too and agree with Scotty, totally transformed my bike. I'm not sure whether the mountings for the R1 shock will be compatible or i assume Luke would have tried that a long time ago. R6 is more or less a straight swap (different dog bones).

This is the thread about it:
