hi whereabouts do you put these protectors as ones ive seen fitted are on a engine bolt to the main frame do you have to unbolt the engine bolt then fit mushroom

My R&G's are fitted to the frame with the engine mounting bolt, you have to remove the bolt and fit the longer ones through the mushroom.

Not wishing to worry you but apparently there is an issue with cheaper ones (I have cheaper ones and havent fitted them yet- scared :o )
Have to check the original bolt length and then work out the depth of plastic in the crash bung that will make the new bolt longer than the OE bolt and then measure the bolts in the kits- I read of someone stripping and engine thread when he tried to tighten the too long bolt provided
I guess also Torque up the new bolt to the correct tension
