Title: Fuel gauge sender orientation

This may seem like a daft question but does the float in the tank hinge front to back or side to side in the tank ?

Took it out the tank some time ago and now can't remember which way it fits.

Also does anyone have a photo of the underside of the tank showing the wiring leading to the URL gauge sender as its location will help get it in the correct way.

Haven't taken one out but page 50 of the parts manual seems to show it with the float pointing towards the back of the bike

Has anyone used the later 2002/2003 sender unit in the earlier 1999 model FZS600....?
