Made in Germany and exported to uk. Not very fast with just a 1.6 vw petrol engine but I like it.

I remember one of your photos of your trike Deef, with OMF and your old staffie, can't remember if your lad was in there too but it must have been great for taking the dog out with you
would love to be able to take my dog with me but I don't trust him or the set ups ..........can't see him wearing goggles somehow
-

Yeah, Tubbs my old staffie would seat on the bench seat of the old beemer trike. The old fella loved it and would sit there good as good. Both dog and trike are long gone now, Watch this space for Laura's newly revonated Eddie Lawson Replica Z trike!

No wonder they passed all those emissions tests. The testers fell over laughing.
And what is that toast rack running all along one side?
-
A friend of mine worked directly with the manufacturer, got sick of the crap after sale service and gave them their trike back (they gave him one to promote the brand)

Take the f-----g thing back the grass box is missing

link not working for me...............are you fitting stainless pipes Deef?
looked at a few of the EL replicas in various guises on google and personally I like the stainless over the black. How long before OMF is burning up the high street and does the new hound have his trike wings yet?

The pipe is a modded 4-1 with the pipe coming out the middle above the diff. I would like to find a Kerker for it but that's a job for the future. Although the donor wasn't an ELR it was a z400J now rebuild as a z550 but because I wanted to keep the classic Zed shape whereas most people seem to cover their trikes with all sorts of shit. The plan was to keep it as much looking like a classic Zed as possible and that means an ELR paint job.
This is it after the mock up, dry build & de-customised it as the previous owner must have been related to blind pugh. As it stands ATM it's waiting for it to warm up so I can get on with the paint work and then finish the final build.

looking good, OMF up front and a nice big comfy rear seat for you and your dog ;)
-
Me passenger??? LOL or more to the point me, passenger with Laura?? BIG LOL
The trike is solely for Laura, there is no room for passenger pegs and if there were, the wheels would eat the passengers legs. I have my own bikes and an adapted tank bag for little Deefer
-
what breed is little Deefer, Mark?
I can't remember if you got another staff......would be interested in seeing the modded tank bag (I have a Border terrier)
on a more serious note, is he behind a screen or does he wear goggles?
I've lost sight (pardon the pun) on the number of times I've been hit in the eye by insects when my visor is up in the summer.......does this affect the dog or does he get wind blast and eye issues as any result of being on the bike?
cheers

Tubb's my big old staff who used to ride on the Beemer trike, used to be fine on the bench seat although I never went that fast with him on board 50 mph max. But when I used to go over about 40 he would move across the bench and sit directly behind me. I only ever used to clip his harness to the seat belt enough so that he could move across when he wanted to.
Little Deef is a Jack Russell &I haven't adapted the tank bag yet for him as he's still only a pup and I'm not sure how big he'll get, although I know you can buy "Doggles" for your dog and have seen all manner of adapted topboxes and bags for dogs on bikes and trikes. Most are homemade but some are commercially available.
Some clever ones are a topbox with a perspex bubble and air holes at the back, another with an internal harness a hold in the top with an adapted double bubble screen in front. my favourite is a guy out Ipswich way who has a trike with a lined box on the back with a lid on telescopic rods on all four corners so that his staff can pop the lid up about 6-8 inches when he wants to have a sniff.

DFS was doing a sale on one of those with 2 reclining arm chairs for £899 😆
