So.....
Who's mounted what & where? (Camera's!).
Just bought one and am looking at mounting it so it doesn't show the clocks :lol :lol
-
have one with a helmet mount, and chest straps, but not had chance to try, so will change that this week, going for the top of the helmet first!
-
the mount for my bullet type camera is undr the headlights ,,above the mudguard
-
Fitted my Chilli Tech 120 on the top to catch all the feckers that carve you up from both sides. Only shows clocks if a tilt down a tad. Have also fitted new tie wraps so the catch bit is not on top.

Who mentioned his rectum? Ok if its a Contour but not recommended if its a Go Pro.(Especially the black ones I'm told) :rolleyes
I mounted mine with a curved Go Pro mount on the front of me screen see mount in picture, it also allows you to put a landyard from the camera to the mirror stork as a bit of security in case the mount sticky pad give way in the warmer summer months.
-
Thanks fella's.
Not going down the helmet route. (Hot summer days, riding through towns, evidence of distractions etc etc ;) )
Will pick up a spare screen and see how that goes.
Doing a trial run this weekend with the camera clamped on the bars (just for practice)
-
The GoPro sticky mounts can be removed without leaving any marks on your screen you just need a Hairdryer to heat up the mount, leave a buckle connector pushed into the mount (not with the case attached) so you can apply a bit of sideways leverage and just keep playing the hairdryer on the base and it will slowly peel off without leaving any marks.
Don't shove a knife blade under the mount like a mate of mine did and then whinged about scratches on his blue screen. :fish

Going to be dead cheeky (read lazy!!) - where did you get the curved mount?
-
They should come with one flat & one curved mount in the box, if not loads available on a well known auction site
-
Here you go Linky (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8pcs-Flat-Curved-Mounts-3M-Adhesive-Sticky-Mount-GoPro-HD-Hero-1-2-3-4-/262172032739?hash=item3d0aabbee3:g:PNcAAOSw3xJVfMDp)

Cheers for the link Cellerman,
I was going to purchase a few more mounts for my GoPro.
The ones with the 3M sticky pads really do hold, I have never had one come adrift yet, I have a mount also on the back of my Fazer 600 just behind the grab rail makes for some great video if blasting along overtaking stuff.
But as mentioned earlier in the post, helmet mounted cams give the evidence to the wife that your looking at all the girlies as you cruise through town, plus evidence to the old bill if your clocks are in shot. :eek
-
The sticky curved mounts are also available through Amazon - just as good, need to find a way of using the "Gift" cards received for xmas :lol
-
Hey Fazer,
Just as an aside, I purchased some Amazon gift vouchers from Amazon UK and sent them out to Australia to a cousin and niece as Christmas presents for them to be told that they are only valid on the Amazon UK site and not on any other. Considering Amazon is a world wide organisation I think that's terrible. So they had to but stuff from the UK website and pay a lot of postage and packaging. Not good.
WTF is all this font size changing going on for?

I agree with that sentiment - that's how they make their money (and not paying tax's!). I only buy from Amazon if its available through "Prime", free delivery, generally next day.
-
Yeah but you have to subscribe to Prime and that cost 79 quid a year :eek

My better half subscribes - she found it useful when doing her degree at a Uni around 70 miles away. She'd discover she would need a book a 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Get on Amazon and it would be delivered the next day. I've ordered a Haynes manual at 8pm on a Saturday and the bastard delivery driver was knocking on the door at 7.45 the next morning! I suppose its like any tool - if you use it a lot then it pays etc etc.
