There's nothing wrong (I think) with my brakes but I wonder if I should replace seals on the front master cylinder if they haven't been touched for at least 4 years? If so, which kit to go for?

If it aint broke......

If it aint broke......
I know I know :) that's what going around my head... is there a point if it ain't broke?

I did it a couple of years ago and did wonder what the point was as I was doing it, as the old parts looked fine to me.
Same scenario with the cush rubbers in the rear wheel hub. :look

Agrees with BBROWN. Instead of pulling the master cylinder to bits and spending a sum of money on it plus the agro of having to do it, go for a ride instead. :fish :fish :fish

Look in the master cylinder is there black deposits at the bottom? Has the fluid got suspended black deposit in it?
If yes to either then you need to replace the master cylinder seals and inspect the bore if the bore is scored it's fooked!

I'm not keen to pull things to bits if I don't have to. Don't want to spend money if I don't need to as well. It's more of a 'preventive maintenance' if there is something like this for 14 years old machine? I plan longer trip in May- a few thousands miles so probably get a little paranoid about 'what if'.
I'll have a look as Gnasher suggested and I'll take it from there. Bike is fine, serves me well for the past few years and I hope it'll stay this way.
