how many miles do you have left once the light starts to flicker? thanks

Total capacity 22 litres.
The light comes on when there's 4 litres left . When it comes on you have 30 or so miles. :)

I often ride up to 45 miles after the low fuel warning comes on, and normally fill with 18 or 19 litres, but don't rely on other's as a guide to what yours will do, fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate as do riding styles/fuel consumption. It's best to judge it for yourself, topped up to the bottom of the neck in the tank there will be 18 litres available... if you only get 13 in that means you can delay filling for 5 litres-worth.

A '99 has an 18 litre tank IIRC?

usually fill up as soon as it comes on,but out of money atm and just need to get college and back,hate riding with the light on

i normally do about 40 miles with the light on i wait till the fuel gauge hits empty then i fill up i normally get about 190/200 miles on a tank
