Found a very small hole in my exhaust can (2-3mm)..what's the best method of repair..? Heard a few options from pop rivets to self tapping screw, but I'm thinking it could be repaired by brazing..? Any advice much appreciated
-
Where is it though?
-
if its underneath at the end where the link pipe joins it. Its supposed to be there
-
:agree
Yep it's a water drain hole.
-
Yep and I think there should be 2. It may look like a rust hole because it will have staining around it as the condenced water leaks out- give it a clean and you should see that it is a perfect clean round hole
-
It's right on the middle on the underside of the can..only noticed it when i spotted exhaust fumes coming from it on a cold morning

right on the end next to the link pipe ?
Get on your back and have a closer look right under and you should see another one
Have you noticed that sometimes when you park up after a run that you see some wet drops under your end can- thats the condensate coming out of the hole

No..not at one side or the other..right in the middle

Well done.
I suppose that we are jumping the gun in assuming that the hole is this bit being stainless steel the outside can does not rust does it

It sounds to me like it's one of the drain holes.
There's a couple of close up pic's of them in the thread link to compare with.
