Cheers Frosties......mmmmm it is very nice.......although it is just a stripped down MT09......and the production version would need a headlight........so where does that take us with the differences - gold wheels, a paint job and a different tank and seat...........those dream machine ltd edition MT09 nakeds were real nice too though.

It would depend on the eventual price i think......it would always be an official bike so worth more long term but in the short term i just dont reckon it would take much to do something simillar for less cost.

Still nice though it's good to see bikes being interesting. 8)

I absolutely love the Lawson decals, and 80's super/muscle bike style.
The headlight would make or break the look, but this one's a winner in my eyes, it's an easy £7-£8k I reckon.

Yep, appeals to my retro senses. It's an interesting idea for Yamaha to farm out design in this way. If they could keep a production version pretty close to that, I think they might have a winner on their hands, certainly for older folks who don't like the modern, angular, 'bits and pieces' look of many current machines. Perhaps a basic model for the budget conscious, and a limited edition version with high grade suspension, and a higher state of tune? It's good to see Yamaha getting to grips with the MT range in this way. If...

I've never been able to understand the modern design concept of making a bike look like it's component parts have come from about half a dozen completely different models  :rolleyes

Can't quite put my finger on it,but looking at that kinda makes me want another RD!  8)

Very nice, think it would need to keep the visual impact of the Roberts colour scheme to keep your eye off all the different angles of the frame but I certainly dont think it unatractive

-
I think it has got a headlight, in the number board, possibly one of those little ones fitted to the R1.

So takes me back to my fizzy/RD days!

Edit: just had a google, if this ever makes it into production it aint gonna be cheap !
