As winters fast approaching im wanting to tackle a few jobs while bike will be garaged for a few months and im wanting to do a way with the bulky no plate mountings and im wondering what other members have done as the undertray and no plate looks like one moulded piece? is there a mod you can get to achieve this? or what way would you go about this.As i dont really want to start cutting the original undertray and fuck the job totally. oh and its a gen 1

really? a non-biking friend of mine once enquired as to why so many bikes have been rear ended - he was in fact referring to the trend towards cutting down / doing away with rear mudguards. now when i see so called 'tail tidies' i can't help but think that the bike does indeed look as though it's been hit from behind. i've yet to see a rear end 'tidied' that i think looks better than factory. but if you want to cut down your bike's ability to protect itself and riders from thrown water and road muck then that's your prerogative.

There are lots of places you can buy an aftermarket undertray such as Pyramid, Skidmarx, Justbandits, Etc.
It's a long time since I had a Gen 1 but if I remember rightly you will have to cut the original undertray in order to retain the battery box. I could be wrong though and I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I am.
I've changed a few undertrays on different bikes where I've had to cut the original.
