Hi guys
I'm looking to purchase a new chain. How many links is standard.
Thanks

530x110

Just order it "per bike" then you won't go wrong.
-
Looked up one on ebay it was 122. And said my need to be shortened
-
Just look for an FZS600 D.I.D. chain and it will be the correct length for standard sprockets.

or you can buy Tsubaki chain kit too

Do you plan to change it yourself? Depending on master link pin heads (some are soft-head some are hard head) you will need different tools. Tsubaki above is soft head pins:

I think you're the only person who's ever bought one of those, plus they're more expensive than a D.I.D. as well which are tried and tested and basically a great chain for the money, i don't quite see the point?

The price difference is not big. What if they are more expensive because the quality is better? If the price is your main goal you will be better off buying no brand chain half of the DID price.
EDIT: gold DID with cheap steel sprockets kit is £122, Tsubaki with expensive Renthal sprockets is £137. It appears that Tsubaki may be actually cheaper.
IMO Tsubaki is a better chain. Also when I have called DID technical support to ask what is the master link soft or hard head pins they have not got a glue about it.
I've called Tsubaki tech support in the UK and they gave me all exact details about the chain.
Make of that what you want :)

It's a chain :lol
If you're racing it then I could see a valid reason but for general road usage the D.I.D. kit is more than adequate.
I'm pretty sure I can find it for less than £122 as well.

Agree completely. I am a little OCD sometimes :lol
