Title: Preload Adjusters...
Post by: anutz on 30 August 2015, 06:57:26 pm
Anyone tried pre-load easy adjuster for the front forks?

Look at lot easier than messing around with a spanner/wrench all the time

I never found they did much anyway to be honest, the 15w oil was the major improvement.

we shall see what my bike is like, i have not ridden it since changing the rear shock for an R6 one and putting Hyper Pro springs in the front with SAE 15 oil...

Just moving it around and when sat on it, its totally different so will be interesting...

I swapped my forks for older 98/99 ones, without the adjusters, and they've been fine.
I always preferred firmer handling anyway because i used to frequently take passengers, so when i did have the adjusters they were always on the harder setting.

You can get cheap ebay ones that fit for the earlier models that don't have the adjusters too. We put some in the track bike, I put some in my extra pair of forks that I'm rebuilding, just cos. But I'll probably set them once and never touch them again haha. But hey cheap adjustment and they are shiny.. Mm shiny
