Hi all, a group of fazer owners from the Scottish borders are heading up to the thunder in the glen event in Aviemore on Saturday 29th August , are any fazer owners from other areas going thru to this event? Our route is heading up through Callander , then the green welly at tyndrum, through glen Coe and fort William, then accross the cairngorm national park to aviemore, be an epic run :lol
-
Watch out for the speed trap near the green welly stop got me last month
Well jealous sounds great shame I can't go
-
Thanks for the heads up :) Yes pity you can't tag along will be an epic run :D
-
if i can get the holiday i'll tag along. Will be heading from perth so could meet you at the green welly..
-
Sounds good, leaving gala at 6.30am so be at welly around 8.30am :lol
-
I was done near Tyndrum on Tuesday night - was stopped doing 80 in a 60 :(
Only thing was they didn't write the actual speed on the ticket - it just says "Ride at mph in 60mph limit". Now could I make things worse by fighting it or just take it on the chin...!
-
Hmmm that suggests a mistake on their part , I'd take legal advice on that :D
-
Where are you guys staying? Or are you heading back same day?
-
Yes it's just a day run for us, we have an overnight stay in York the month after :D
-
Sounds good I'll update on of I get the day off
-
pity I'm pre-booked on other business, mind and take your Chest Waders & Souwester.
-
I'll be there on my other bike (unfaithful tart I know!) and camping there as I can't afford the hotel costs which is pitched at Harley owners!
-
Tut tut :D not on ur fazer ! :lol hope we get the weather
-
Looks like I should have the day off... I'll aim for 0830 at the green welly.
-
Ok, look for three fazer 1000,s and a triumpgh tiger 800 :lol
-
I'll be on the red fzs 600 box eye. Might struggle to keep up with you thous
-
Will look out for you, whats ur name? :lol
-
I might join you for part of the journey weather permitting......coming up from Glasgow to meet at Green Welly.......then onto Spean Bridge....then I've got the option of Kinloch Laggen and back.....or up continue the A82....canny be arsed with going onto Aviemore as the A9 is pish boring and not a fan of Harleys either.
-
That's fine :-) we'll be at the welly around 8.30 think weathers to be ok :/)
-
I was hoping to catch up with you all at Tyndrum and maybe go as far as Spean Bridge but the weather isn't looking great at the moment.
The bike has been off the road for the last month and I'm gagging to get a good ride or two in before Autumn sets in. Oh wait a minute - it already has!! :'(
-
Heavy rain showers are being forecast tomorrow so I'm ducking out......we should try and get a Scottish Foccers day out organised before the season ends.....whatya all think
-
Hi that's fine :-) yes we definately will do that in the future :/) thanks for letting me know
-
I'm out also but definitely up for a ride out when the weather improves.
-
Ill be there. admittedly potentially a little late. hopefully not. :\
-
Ok :-) yes , plenty time for good runs , we do a lot up there so will post all runs :-)
-
Well yesterday's ride was epic 423 miles at least 100 of that in heavy rain , rain stRted north of Callander and came on heavy from the green welly right thru to around 10 mes from aviemore ! Sun came out then and pretty much stayed out :lol thanks to young biker for joining us on you fazer 600 :D hope we meet again on any other north runs , one if our fazer 1000 guys had to call it quits when we reached tyndrum as he noticed his rear tyre was thru to the canvas :'( but the rest made it without a huckup , thunder in the glen was an epic event :)was knackered when I got home tho :z well worth the effort , will post pics soon
-
Some pics from the run :/)
-
Another pic
-
Don't know how that happened :'( sent pics off my phone but they appear upside down !! Click on them they show right way up tho :D
-
Hey. Had a great day. Was also tired. (Mainly cold and wet) lookforward to more ride outs. The idea of a Scottish meet up sounds good!
Cheers again.
