Title: How to test the starting circuit cut off relay No9 on the fazer fzs 1000

I have removed my alarm and wonder if i have a faulty starting circuit cut off relay. this controls the clutch cut off, its a large black box that sits under the left hand side panel sitting on the bike. I have the neutral light on all the time? I am able to start the bike but the netural light remains on all the time.

I forgot to add that i do not have to pull in the clutch lever aswell. this makes me think some thing is not quite right also

any ideas?
