I use the bike tool kit items to remove plugs, box socket & spanner on top to turn it. Plugs NGK CR8E you could get the iridium ones CR8EIX but I just buy the normal ones.

Personally, i've always bought Iridium, they last a long time and are quite cheap on Ebay.
When replacing, screw in finger tight only, so the threads are sound, then nip up, DO NOT over tighten or screw a plug in that feels ANY resistance, you will regret it, i promise you!

I've never had a toolkit with either of my 600s :( But generally I use a decent plug socket on a socket wrench... the other downside I've had is that on both bikes the previous muppet owners have over-tightened them. First bike one snapped and I'm afraid to take off the ones on my current 600

Have you got any long sockets etc?
I've got this set, absolutely brilliant :)
Do you know anybody with a Japanese bike tool kit? Chances are the plug spanner they have may fit, worth a try???
