Title: Showing and clearing error codes

Hi there,


I am trying to find out how you display and clear the error codes on my Fazer 600. I know Yamaha does some combination with the ignition and the kill switch. Does anyone know the correct procedure perhaps?

According to the Haynes Manual:

1) With the engine and kill switch off, lift the tank and disconnect the Green Fuel Pump connector.

2) Press Select and Reset on the instruments, then switch the ignition on, keeping the buttons presssed for at least 8 seconds. (All displays on the meter should disappear except for the clock and trip meter).

3) Press Select until DIAG appears on the clock LCD, then press Select and Reset simultaneoulsly for 2 seconds.

4) Press Select and Reset to scroll forwards or backwards through the codes.

5) To delete a fault code, enter code 62, the total number of stored codes will be displayed on the Trip Counter. Turn the kill switch ON to delete the sorted codes.
