Title: Silverstone Moto GP
Post by: fireblake on 24 June 2015, 04:38:50 pm
Ive just bought general admission tickets to the MotoGP. Never having been to Silverstone before let alone a GP I was wondrering where the best place to stand, sit, gawp. What corner has a decent hill/slope to watch from?

So excited

I have marshaled at Luffield corner and it is super. You see them coming down and under the bridge to Brooklands, round the left hander into Luffield and away round Woodcote.Fast in slower round Luffield itself and fast out on to Woodcote. Just make sure you get there early as it gets full quickly!!!! Then through the stands and you have the toilets and food in easy reach. :)

Never been to a bike GP but used to go to Silverstone for the F1 about 20 years ago (god I feel old typing that).  Deffo for Luffied, like others have said, out of bridge, through the complex and then you get a good noise as they accelarate up the old start finish straight.

If moto GP is anything like F1, gates open at silly o'clock (it was something like 5.00am) be there and be ready to run!  :-)  Once again, don't know if it's like F1 but once you put your chairs down, they are there for the day, you can wander off and no one will touch them (Unless you are at Spa and then the German's throw them down the hill and put their chairs where your's were, so we pretty much sat on their feet and waved a Damon Hill flag in front of them for pretty much the whole race! :lol )
