So i had a go at fitting my braided lines...and for now as i have an MOT this week have settled with my stock lines and re-bled them..
The issue i had was routing, all looked ok, but anyone have any examples of how they routed their braied lines, this being 2 piece kit, i.e. no OEM joint on the bottom yoke...

These are crops from bigger pictures but i suppose the crucial one is the one from the master which I will have to go an take, bear in mind and allow for that when the bike is off the stand and your weight is on it too, as the forks compresses.

Yes, but i have had that much practice now its worth it -- still a pain!

fazersharp - that little clamp you are using 1/2 way up where they meet - where did you get that?

Twas hein Garrick but no doubt JS now has them just google err I think cable clamp or indeed braided line clamp, -------------------- its sundaty and bear is tacing ober

Thanks - ordered some blue ones....
Now the dilema is - leave my old ones on or put the braided ones on the night before the MOT test :lol
Suspect will leave all well alone till MOT is done, have the lever tired to the bar for a final bleed tommmorow..

Just use the best method....
Tube onto your bleed nipple, other end in a jar with a wee screw in the end of the tube and a small slit in the tube that allows the air to escape. :)

So i may have some problems with leaks from the bleed nipples.....
Am watching them but am sure there is some fluid collecting.....so i may be taking them all to bits and just put the braided lines on and re-seat the bleed nipples while i am at it.....hose clamps should be here as well...if they still weep then i shall have to see what to do...
....has anyone used or has one of these at the master cylinder, they do a double one as well....same size and pitch as the spec ones i think i.e. M10*1.25

I had the same problem with the bleed nipple kept weeping but I cannot remember if I just kept tightening them or if I ended up buying new ones or it could of just been oil in the thread chamber coming out which eventually stopped

yeah i recall you posted something a while ago, i forget what you did as well... :lol
Have my rear caliper seals here now so getting that sorted then its just keeping an eye on leaks and barring that its good to ride...
watching them like a hawk...

So a slight update, have the rear fitted and bled, not sure if the bleed nipple is leaking or not, over night some fluid has ran down the back of the caliper onto the floor but there is pressure in the brake, so it might just be what was trapped in the bleed nipple threads as Fazersharp has mentioned...
I am watching the fronts as well...
Does any one use any type of sealant on the threads or something similar to stop any leaking etc...

Mine seem to be leaking to after bleeding the brakes. I fitted stainless bleed nipples thinking I'd improve things but now I wonder. So I guess if I still have a damp patch in a few days then I have a problem.

It's not the thread that forms the seal it's the tapered end of the bleed nipple blocking the end of the narrow channel in the caliper body

Yes and wondered if the taper on the new ones might be different to the original perhaps.

The taper isn't that critical as long as it's still a straight taper and not worn with ridges

So - i think the rear nipples are ok, the fronts are BOTH still weeping.....FFS!
What "things" can you do to resolve this..
1. Replace....actually tried some new SS ones but same issue
2. File any specific surfaces.....don't fancy touching the caliper...
Its really annoying....it must be the tiniest leak as the lever is still firm...
