Read the book a while ago, enjoyed the Richard hammond programme on him.
This programme is enjoyable to watch, the slo mo crash footage is pretty brutal, definitely a pioneer of motorbike stunts!

I saw the Hammond programme, and he appeared right up his own arse, which was disappointing 'cos i s'pose he was a hero of mine growing up as a kid.
Every time i see him do a jump now on that heavy beast of a bike i just think it was always an accident waiting to happen.
Obviously what he did was huge back in the day, but now you've got young riders who could jump the same sort of distances whilst upside down smoking a fag.  :smokin
