as subject which fork top adjusters fit a FZS 600 1998? And what other bits do I need? As I've heard that I might need some washers? Also is it a worth while upgrade?
:rolleyes

I had problems with the front end of my bike (long story) and ended up swapping my '00 forks with adjusters for '98/'99 forks without them.
My bike's just used for general riding but i don't miss the adjusters at all, and found that i had them on the hardest setting anyway.
The main improvement which was very noticable to me though was changing the oil from 10w to 15w, it firmed up the steering and braking in a positive way and felt much more planted with better handling than before, so i would highly recommend it as a cheap but very effective mod.

Thanks darrsi, I've already changed the fork oil to the heavier 15w and noticed a good difference, I still think the front is a bit soft, hence whether the fork top adjusters would help or not, or whether to Just get stiffer springs?

I can't honestly see the adjusters making things much better to be truthful, i hardly felt any difference when i used them.

If it feels that soft with thicker oil then probably look at replacing the springs!

Cheers for the info guys, I'm going to look into getting stiffer springs :)
