Title: New exup cable repait kit from Venhill: tester required

Morning

Venhill are sending me a sample kit to repair one exup cable inner, so what's needed is someone who has a frayed exup cable and has soldering skills. And someone who uses thier FZS on a daily basis, the idea being if it dosent fail after a few weeks its never going to.

Venhill have told me the cast nipple that goes on the pully end will take 560c, so I am gonna take my FZS out for a spin and then measure the temp with a laser thermometer when I get back.

But before they commit to offering the retail kit on the website, they would like this free sample tested first. Anyone that's interested please drop me a PM with your details.

Can anyone else confirm the temp's I'm reading from the exup location, after a 20min run I observed 195c which is less then half the melting point of the cast nipple.

I don't why I am bumping this, as I thought it would be a no brainer.
