Aww! :'( Mad as a box of frogs Wits. Gone but never forgotten. RIP you mad, crazy fool. :angel
-
I still use the phrase 'network pixies' at work.
never met him but made laugh a load of times
-
Never forget, one Frolic. Can't remember who it was but one of the intrepid frollicers had been exploring and announced that they'd 'even been up Elton" ( a small hamlet near to me.) Quick as a flash Wits said, "I've been up Elton a few times myself!" Maybe you had to be there but everyone present howled with laughter except Wits who did his normal non plussed look like it was a perfectly natural thing to say. :lol :lol :lol :lol
Who came on the mininbus to his funeral? I remember Dell going?
-
T Pot, Dr. Bong, LHW, Ems and myself. We picked Del boy up at the station in Wigan.
-
That was a sad day. But I'll never forget his version of Steve Harley's "come up and see me, make me smile" (I'm even singing it in my head with a Wigan accent!) playing over the speakers at his funeral.
His family were astounded at the number of his imaginary friends that were present that day.
I'll wear a bit of pink for Dennis today.

Bless him, he still rides with me every time I go out on my bike, courtesy of a Dennis The Menace badge on my jacket. I was at what turned out to be Wits' last Frolic and have many great memories from that weekend. Went to the NEC bike show with him just after that and it was a mad day out, thanks for the memories Wits :)
Pink undies today then :lol
-
Yes, I was in the Magic Bus that had the power to drive the wrong way up one way streets. :eek
I'll raise a glass (or two) for him tonight.
-
My memory of Wits is the pm he sent me after my ten hellish days of constipation when I gave up smoking the first time. Some of the cures he suggested had me in stitches! Bless him x
-
Wasn't it a brain aneurysm that he had? Only the possibly future Mrs Madley survived one about seventeen years ago and I'm told not many do survive such things.
-
A much valued member of the NW posse and RLT group ,often do a Witts weave before giving it an handful :-)
-
Met Wits at Frolic very funny guy and very sadly missed. RIP Dennis
-
Never met Wits but do remember his contributions around here. It really doesn't feel like 5 years though.
-
talking of T -pot...aint heard from him either ??
-
Strange but I was telling my gf about Wits only yesterday. Whenever I am on the bike I can't help but do the "Wits weave".
RIP Wits, gone but not forgotten.

I cannot bring myself to delete his phone number
