Title: Flooding carb nr 2.
Post by: jusu on 30 June 2011, 10:31:05 pm
So, I took my salvage Fazer (you might remember it from the previous forum) for a longer trip, 4 days to be exact, and wouldn't you know. It developed a problem. Runs only on 3 cylinders, especially it seems when it's hot and especially on lower revs. Top speed is still there. I roadside opened the carb, since I first thought it was running lean (no-one likes a hole in the piston), but seems that it's running rich and now even flooding. It might be that I focced it up while doing the roadside carb maintenance, but I would be willing to say that I did not.

Anyway, ideas why it's flooding and what I should be looking for when opening those carbs. For the third time.

Lovely bike for the trip though and it got me home, even on 3 cylinders.
