Bloody good prices, and they've a sale on. Free postage too! I've ordered about 3 pairs now and all have come within 3 days - with the prices on the Road 4s I'm considering buying a pair or two and sticking them in the garage to keep for when I need them!

If you normally get your garage to fit tyres for you.......does it piss them off when you buy online and ask them to fit them......is it bike etiquate i suppose is what im asking...its important to me to have a good relationship with them but can they blame you if you find a good deal???

Probably paying much the same price for tyres as a small business does so you're eating into their profit.
I know a bike shop in my area charges a little over £20 to fit a provided tyre on a free wheel.
Suppose they've got to expect customers hunting out the best deals these days?

Simple solution;
Use your nice friendly, good mechanic for working on your bike - piss off another garage by getting them to swap your tyres ;)

The thing is I have a local tyre shop where I can just roll / limp up and will sort me out there and then whilst the local dealer may want to keep the bike. I would not want to piss the tyre place off or see them go under.
National Tyres used to do just a fit on loose wheel for bikes, dont know if they still do

Odd they've got the Metzelers Z6 and Z8 rear tyres listed twice with very different prices. Then the Z6 is more expensive than Z8 too!

They've got bt-023 twice as well, I think the dearer price is in stock ready for dispatch because the cheaper price said in stock but in red not green.

If I could do my own tyres I would and maybe its something I'll look in to in the future, but for now its a garage job. I try to do as much as I can with my own bikes (and cars) so they generally only see a garage for an MOT or tyres.

The main trick with tyres is that to get the first side off the other side needs to be in the deeper "well" in the centre of the wheel to give you the play to pop the tyre over the rim. Same as putting the tyre back on the first side is easy but then it has to be in that deeper centre section to get the other side bead on.
Also lube/tyre soap is very very important.... To do your own tryes you will need a bead breaker, at least two decent tyre irons, some rim protectors... Just until your good enough not to need them or you will mash your rims up, some tyre soap, and a compressor.
Oh and then there's "beading" your newly fitted tyre.... that's where the fun really begins

Yeah, it's a lot of additional kit and know how that I just can't afford at the moment. I have an air compressor, so that's a start at least...
I've done many a bicycle tyre so the concept is similar, just on a whole other scale :P

Ordered a pair of Michelin PR3's for the FZS600 from Tryeleader last Thursday for £155.78 with free delivery.
I was a bit concerned when only the rear arrived the following Monday. I queried it via their contact page and the front arrived two days later by a different carrier. I don't know if my contact made any difference but I got a quick reply and tracking number.
Overall pleased with service and ecstatic with the price :)

I use my local independent bike shop ,they will always have a deal and will try at get close to online sellers
Plus they are a dying breed so I will stump up the £10-15 if it means they don't go under
I applied for my Michelin cash back but I was told its a long wait before the money turns up
