Send in a complaint? :lol
Next one's not till something like 2026. Just got a bit darker around here - total cloud cover so nothing to see. Missed the Aurora the other night too, was supposed to have been seen even as far south as here in Oxfordshire folks were saying.

Fail on every level here in Herts.
-
Here in Peterborough there was only a thin layer of cloud.
Saw it in the reflection of the car window.
-
Thin layer of cloud up here in Glasgow which takes the glare away.....don't know what all the fuss is about unless you're a druid or some pish like that
-
it was awesome here in Kent.....

In true sod's law fashion, after the entire event was over, the clouds cleared and the sun came out here... screw you weather!!

That one was really dramatic!
Today's was only a partial eclipse though, 1999's was a total one.

The misses asked me if it was 9.30 in the morning or at night :groan

Here in Lancashire there were plenty of short breaks in the cloud for the first 75 minutes but then covered by cloud. I didn't think I would be that bothered about it but had some really good views looking through my welding mask. 8)
Made a small hole in a box device and you could see the eclipse of a small bright disc but nothing like as exciting as the mask view.

Ditto Cambridge. Turned into the nicest, sunniest day of the year so far about an hour after the (non) event! >:

I sat in the garden with my camera pointing in the general direction of the sun in the hope of capturing a decent piccie.
Either it didn't get dark or I fell asleep.
Got a lovely picture of our rotary clothes line though.
