Title: fce fitted.
Post by: slappy on 17 March 2015, 06:41:04 pm
Well today I fited an Ivans fce to my FZ1 and it has made the bike. Running it with the Two Brothers map that came already installed in the JuiceBox Pro the bike is smoother everywhere and coming off a closed throttle there is no lag and the pickup is instant, why didn't I do this months ago?
Well the £173 price did to be honest.
Brand new off ebay it cost me less than half price, £82, off someone who I think is/was a fellow foccer,a real bargain.
Only downside is the fce looks a bit cheap, why it doesn't have multiplugs to fit on the multiplug on the bike instead of bullet connectors that you have to fit yourself is poor, if pc3,pc5, juicebox and bazzaz can do it on their products Ivan should do the same, more people would fit them I think then because a lot of people will not want to hack into their loom.

What year are you on?  keep contemplating this, but have an 11 and need to be convinced to go for it.

Mines a 2007, the later the model the less they are meant to be affected.
I did mine as it was starting to bug me a bit but and I managed to get a brand new one for less than half price. :)

Ill have to get a picture of mine to see if it is remotely fitted correctly & do Deks little 8k test to consider if it is working.

Have you not been able to find a specific map for one fitted with a FCE?....ive had a small search online but nowt obvious.

I haven`t looked for a specific map yet, seems to be ok with the map I am using.
I did  Deks 8k test on a quiet dual carriageway near me, no hesitation at all, took off like a rocket, trouble is doing it is quite addictive :)
