Title: touchy subject: treating her like a racing bike?

sold my spare engine to some guy who uses his on the track as a race bike.

i race mine about a little now and then, knee downs wheelies the usual...
with the warmer weather coming im tempted to take it on the track....

(i took an xj 600 diversion to lydden many times)

Anyone else out there treat their fazer like a race bike?

disclaimer: I dont go full throttle everywhere all the time i ride sensible untill twisties :D

yeah but as stated, 100% private road not "private"

it used to be a main road but now a road belonging to the farm :D

WHeelie's also aren't illegal! You can just be done for them under dangerous driving ;)

no sheep but good friend of mine, id probably get offered a sheep herding job

Its engine DNA is substantially derived from sporty Yamahas such as the FZR600R and T'Cat.
Often (mis)labelled as a commuter, but only because it has bouncy suspension, conventional bars, a centre stand and does 50mpg.
But fit decent tyres, fix the sh1t suspension and it becomes much closer to being an upright Sportsbike.

i dont find the fazer suspension too bad but im pretty slim, when im 2 up and hit a lump it is like being on a trampoline but i should imagine itll stay planted on a hard bend at high speed.

seems the ideal weight on the fazer is 9.5-10.5 stone lol.

maybe thats why the rear pillion pegs are so high its made for small people.
