I have a four gang dimmer switch that behind the fascia plate has a steel plate with four separate removable dimmers similar to these.

All the dimmers are playing up sometimes they work sometimes they don't.
Can I replace the hole lot with one of these? see link below The lighting is dimmable GU10 hologens that I eventually with to replace with LED'S

Any info would be a help.

Its fine to change a 4 gang grid with a moulded type , but don't exceed the rating of each dimmer so no more than 5 of 50w GU10 on each switch for a 250w , you may need an extension plate if the dimmers are deeper than what you have . Good luck .

Cheers esetest. You da man. Thanks for the info and heads up about the extension plate.
That's what I love about this forum. Lots of helpful people about to offer their knowledge and advice.

If you are looking at changing to LEDs then don't you need to be wary of the dimmer / LED combo so you don't get flickering?
I have GU10 LEDs in my kitchen for a year now. No dimmer though.

You have to buy specific dimmable leds. Screw fix do the gu10 dimmable at not too bad a price in multi packs too.

You need to make sure you get dimmable LEDS , which are more expensive , it depends where you are using them, I wouldn't dim LEDS in a kitchen , I would arrange them so you could have some switched off when your popping out to the kitchen and all on when your cooking . Also I would have super bright spots in a kitchen , bright spots or floods in a bathroom and the ambient spots or floods in a lounge , it comes down to personal taste .
I would recommend LED hut for LED waterproof gel strips , ideal for fitting to kitchen pelmets , excellent value and prompt delivery .

Already have dimmable Gu10 LED's fitted elsewhere in the house. As the halogens go I'm replacing them with LEDs. There's 82 GU10's including dimmable ones throughout the house :eek and I had to buy about 50 of them when I first moved in as they were blown. The people I bought from couldn't be arsed it seems to replace them because they were selling. They were all working on the three occasions I viewed. :think :grumble
