Unless you've reason to suspect they're out of spec I wouldn't say it's an urgent job.
I check mine every 40,000 miles (OK, different engine I know) and they've never changed. I'd expect the FZ6 motor to be much the same.

Are the FZ6 clearance intervals the same as the earlier 600? If so then its roughly time to have them checked, although statistically you'd be very unlucky to find them out-of-spec.

You could just keep riding on, and you'll almost certainly be fine, but the more miles go by the more it'll start to occupy your mind. Personally, I'd leave it with someone @ about 30000 miles for peace of mind.

They're fairly easy to check but the grief (and expense) starts if any of them actually need adjusted.

You're supposed to have the "big service" (including valves) at 24,000 so I'd get them checked if I were you.

Valves should be checked every 24,000 miles on the FZ6  ;)
If yours has done 26k then its due.
