People call me a fair weather rider on the basis of I don't do rain- or wet or threat there of, so long as its dry and there is no dry salt around then im ok in the cold, been out yesterday and today. I dont do dark either, which we do have more of in the winter. but thanks to the shortest day today that is now being sorted.
I may actually even do more riding in the winter than summer as in the summer im cutting the FOCing grass when I should be out on my bike.

I usually prefer fair weather, but I'll go out in anything if I have to

But across winter I usually end up getting in to trouble on 4 wheels... for some reason I keep managing to do major projects in the cold facing the worst of the elements. I'll learn one day. Perhaps.

Fly the helicopter - it's amazing how many clear, cold days we get over the winter, with good visibility.

In the summer, most sunny  weekend days are taken up with the bikes.

I think I've found my new winter hobby.
After my big smash in 1991, I basically stopped watching bike racing and following it in magazines etc. It wasn't a conscious decision, but for many years I didn't have a TV, and just never picked up on it all again. Last time I really watched it, Mick Doohan was at the top in 500 GPs I believe  :eek   :lol

So now I've been watching some stuff from Duke Video downloads, and have come to the conclusion that I have 24 years worth of racing history to catch up on! This includes all MotoGP, since the first days of 4T 990 engine rules, road racing since the days of Carl Fogarty vs Steve Hislop etc etc. Think I'm going to be very busy in the winter months  :)

Sounds like a good weekend Slim.

Once the Pheasant shooting season ends I'll get onto the roe deer in our young plantations. I will also get out with the hounds more, travel quite a bit clearing foxes for farmers before lambing time.

Yes , i know what its like in your job, can't wait until 31st for a rest eh?

I bet you got some cracking stalking up there.
I went just down the road two nights ago at the request of the farmer and downed a huge dog fox, first with the rifle for a long time, also got a rabbit for the dogs.

I will be joining up with the fox pack sunday
