Just out of sheer curiosity. Does anyone know how many Gen 1's were sold in the UK and worldwide ?
-
I seem to recall the number to be around 3,500, give or take a few.
-
I would guess quite a few are still going as well ! even if crash repaired !
-
have a look on this site https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/yamaha_fzs_1000 (https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/yamaha_fzs_1000) for the uk.

Just had a look on that site to see how many RD350F2's are left.It says 0 for 1994,'95',96','97 & 1 for '98,'99.In 1994 it had only been out of production for 3 years! :rolleyes.

I think most of em probably either ended up stuffed in hedges, or self-destructed after people refitted the power valves the wrong way round after Stephen's stage III tunes (who, moi?) :lol
The Bike Specialists have an N1 for sale at £3980.

Wow they have some VERY nice bikes don't they!.There's also a new old stock RD250lc for £9,980 :eek.

FTFY :thumbup
They had a C90 advertised for nearly £3k last month. Why on earth would anyone pay that for a C90?! C90s never die, therefore they can never have rarity value. If you want a C90, you just go and haul one out from the bottom of your garden :lol
I presume POA means "if you have to ask...."

I think nostalgia has completely taken over when it comes to the prices of a lot of the old Japanese bikes now & how do you put a price on that...well a BIG price so it seems :rolleyes....i'm just off down to the bottom of the garden with me torch, fingers x :lol.

I had 3 old LC's, 2 250's and a 350. The hooligan bikes of my youth, so much fun and many high speed prangs. Loved them all and it brings a tear to my eye when I see one. Worth a fortune now, but nostalgia is very over rated and extremely over priced :lol
