I do apologise if this is in the wrong place.
I bought all the stuff to do my cam chain and have decided I don't really fancy the job.
I'm in the Wiltshire Somerset area and don't mind dropping you the bike within reasonable distances.
Anyone fancy it?
Split link chain so no engine out or engine split business.
Cheers guys

What part of doing it has you worried?
-
Nothing specific really.
Time is always short I've been working a lot and don't want to find myself rushing and stuff.
And not sure that my chain tool will do the job and if it does are the pin ends peened over enough etc.
Thought I'd be confident but in reality If a reasonable quote comes up ill pay to have it done.
If the cash is useful to someone on here then the job can go to themy as lon as they know the can do the job fine
Cheers

get the bike to my workshop in Northants and I'll do it.
-
What would you charge? It's actually tempting.. my brother lives in Peterborough so not actually that far from you if I remember correctly?
-
Split chain or continuous?
-
Split mate

I have always been unhappy about ever fitting a split cam chain, and don't normally do it, I normally only ever fit continuous cam chains....BUT I am willing to do it as my work is slowing down at the moment. 4 Hours labour @ £30 an hour... Any good to ya?
-
That seems fair to me.
Is there a train station near by?
Probably have to drop it on a Saturday and collect the following Saturday if that's any good?
When's best for you really as I'm in no urgency as it has no tax or insurance at the moment but I can sort those out easily enough
Cheers

no train station nearby although I am sure I can or the wife can give you a lift to the station.... when do you want it done?
-
No urgency as wasn't planning on using it any time soon. There's an oil leak that looks to require welding too :(
Inbox me and we can talk if you like? But no urgency either way :)

Out of interest (I may need mine doing soon), how much would you charge to fit an endless one instead?
-
Fair question. I think mine is endless but I bought the extra soft link.
I'm assuming a lot of extra parts are required though?
