I am also very pleased with the Avon storm 2 ultra tyres I have on at the moment. Done 4,000 miles so far and lasting very well. Also liked the Michelin Pilot Road 2's before that, but the front didn't last to well on the sides.
Bridgestone's seem to get good reports but not tried them myself.

I am running Michelin Pilot Road 3's and am just looking to replace them after 15k miles of mainly motorway riding. Grip like glue and good value for money. Costs a bit more than some tyres, but when you consider they have lasted twice as long as my last set it's a no brainer.  :D

I'm using Maxxis touring at the moment, fairly confidence inspiring, no chicken strips on my rear tyre!! Early days, Ive covered around 800 miles so far so good. Using them to commute to London every day up the motorway so will see how long they last. £129.99 the pair from Ebay.  :D

Just went to my local guys and im getting Bridgestone BT023s fitted on Monday. I asked their opinion on the BT023s vs the Pilot Road 3s and the answer was Bridgestone every time so figured id take their word. Heard a lot of good things about both makes though and the Pirelli Angels keep getting mentioned too...

My best mate used perili's angels st tyres on her suzuki gsx650f import and she hated them!!.  The tyres didn't last very long and the grip was crap(her words very toned down). My best mate now uses either avon storm 2 ultra st tyres or bridgestone bt-023 st tyres!!. She rates both very highly!!

Michelins all the way just changed mine after 2 years of every day use. They may be pricey ay the start but very very good value for money.

I use the BT 023's and had them for about 2K now.  Very firm, but also much more keen than the BT020's to turn into the bend.

I was going to have the Avon Storm Ultra 2's put on then I found a guy in Soham who did bridgestones the same price as avon's so no-brainer there really.

:D

BT 023's for me as well came with Bridgestones when new and have stuck with them, decent wear feel planted and I have not run out of grip even with all the boxes on and the rear seat full going to the TT giving it a good fist full heading for the campsite no problems at all even if the price is a bit higher I would stick with Bridgestone IMHO  :)
