Just a thought at this point.
Thinking of replacing the rear brake calliper on my '99 Fizzy with an FZ1 rear brake calliper.
Why? Cosmetic reasons. The front and rear brake callipers don't match. The rear is a generic looking calliper.
Would i also need the bracket for an FZ1 rear brake?

Nope, stick with FZS600 bracket. FZ1 bracket isn't compatible.
FZS600 hose fits.
If you fancy the matching tension/torque arm, you'll need the one off an Thunderace.

Cool, so:
Calliper from an FZ1 IS compatible and WILL fit existing FZS600 bracket
Bracket is NOT
?

Yes and yes. But fzs600 bracket needs a little filing off and you'll need a couple of washers to centre caliper. Ive put post on my blog with some snaps or search past posts on here as others had some good pics too.

Thanks, had a look through, found the info. Appreciated.

Make sure you're getting the right caliper.
The FZ1 caliper wont fit. only the blue spot one from the fzs1000 01-05 will fit.

Thanks for the heads-up on that!

Nor will an old R1 caliper, so don't mis-read! (Although I eventually did fit it, I had to do some adapting)
