Title: will a speed sensor from a 2002 fox eye fit my square eye 2000

Looking for a second hand speed sensor for my fazer (2000 square eye model) and yes, it's true what they say - as rare as rocking horse s**t. But  just had someone reply saying they have one from their 2002 (fox eye model) fazer.
Can anyone reassure me that the part will fit before I go ahead and buy it?

The same bud.
Is it the whole speedo unit you need or just the ceramic magnetic colar inside the unit?

they are the same from 98-2003

and of course the ceramic magnetic collar has been replaced by a plastic magnetic collar (inter changeable) so they don't break so easily !

Not entirely - the lugs that locate in the wheel have changed to plastic but the magnetic part is still ceramic and can still be broken if not lined up properly when fitting the wheel!
