- reported it as a scam.

What am I missing, why is it a scam? Have they just not got the wrong picture in the ad?
-
You might want to edit that link - it shows a postcode (presumably yours) + distance to dealer in the yellow box "call dealer now" at the top.

Its possible the bike wasn't registered till 2007, but I find that extremely hard to believe. And they are a Yamaha dealer so how could they have made such an obvious mistake, a 2007 FZ1 with that kind of mileage is not even work that much.
-
that bike was registered 01/03/2007, so the dealer was telling the truth as it is most likely a 2005MY but must have been stood for a while
-
My gen 1 is on a 2007 plate, it was most likely stuck in the shop for a while due to the gen2's coming out until someone came to their senses and bought it.
-
old stock with a late reg.
PH always have been pricey but they do throw in good aftersales.

Fair enough, doesn't justify the price though. As I mentioned above, a 2007 FZ1 with the same mileage & cond. isn't even worth what they are asking for.

Am I wrong the bike is on a T plate so that dates it as 1998/99 or is it a personalised plate.
We had a guy on this forum who had a gen1 on an 04 plate and he was looking for 4700. He lived in N Ireland I was over there at the time on a visit earlier this year. Best looking bike I have ever seen, but 04 £4700, no way.
But back on topic how come it is said to be a scam??
