Title: Beating the speed cameras!
Post by: ogri48 on 16 August 2014, 11:59:56 am
It's simple really.
Had a plate made up from eBay with a different reg.
Advantages..

It's now a 1975 on a p plate more in keeping with the paint job than the 1982. X it was.

I don't have to worry about speed cameras..

I don't have to worry about mots, tax and insurance..

Don't have to worry about parking tickets...

Plate looks nicer and I can put my phone number onnit to advertise my bike paint thang..

If the rozzers give pursuit, I've got eighty mighty horsepower to leave them for dead...

It's win win all the way :)

Surely nobody here can think this is anything but the best idea ever!

Back when I used to be a naughty boy, I took my brand new FZR1000 EXUP out for a spin on a false plate  :eek I'd bought it for export to Germany where I was based with the RAF, but couldn't wait to ride it, so I grabbed an old no. plate that was lying around  :eek What could possibly go wrong?  :eek Got nicked  :eek 2 hours in a police cell, while they checked I hadn't actually stolen the bike  :eek 6 points and a fine for no insurance, and £50 fine for fraudulent use of no. plate  :eek

But I'm a very good boy nowadays, squeaky clean  ;)

Hi

Looking at some old pictures of my BSA Rocket Goldstar and I noticed two different Registration  numbers, the correct one * * 2 and the other * * 7
How the hell I did not notice, I rode around for years with a * * 7 number on the plate  :eek

Until an officer check your documents or you are involved in an accident.

It is considered falsification of official documents in Spain, you can even go to jail.

Much better no plate than that
