Jammy bastard. wished I was going.
will be camping at Silverstone all weekend though.

I've been to Brno twice, once for MotoGP in 2003 and WSB 2010 and really enjoyed both. MotoGP was packed, WSB wasn't at all, both times were scorching hot.
2003 we lucked out with accommodation and got somewhere within walking distance of the track at local rates, and made full use of the cheap beer at the track. Good food trackside too. We watched from area 'C', the big steeply banked area where a lot of people head for. Take/borrow a spade from someone to dig yourself a ledge to sit in to stop yourself sliding down the bank.
WSB is was far to hot to walk anywhere far so watched from the bottom of horsepower hill, area 'E'. Good view with few people there but might not be so good when packed.
Have a great time.

Jealous! Loved Brno as a town and the track is wonderful for viewing!
Horsepower hill as mentioned is really nice to hear the acceleration, on some bikes you can 'feel de bass'! :-)
Don't bother looking at the ladies, they're not pretty at all. Honest. :lol
-
Thanks for the tips,,
photos of ladies to follow :lol

You're staying at Colditz! Fantastic! I visited there on the way back from Lausitzring WSB in 2005 when they had already started restoring the place, about half done.
Hows the tunnel coming along?

The Brno race was a good one. The Moto3 highlights were about 30 seconds on ITV4, the race looked a classic.
-
Yes Phil, a great experience stating in Colditz, and ten we moved onto the Nurberg ring, and yes i did do a lap and filmed it,,i loved it.
-
Well Brno was a delight to be in, saw two days of great bike racing,

That can't be you Slim, that video was shot 3 and half years ago. :lol
-
I am not clever enough to set the date on the camera :lol
-
A great memento, wish I had something like that. The video starts at Adenau, theres a bank you can spectate from on the right. You can also join the track there, which I did for my first lap. We had a shower just before we went out and the track didn't dry in places. At 42 seconds in you can see a small damp patch under the trees, I nearly lost the front there as it was extremely slippy, caterpillar shit I reckon, I wasn't going that fast. I was talking to a Finish man at the entrance whilst waiting for the track to open, he left just after me and crashed on it, he and the bike ok save a few scraps. After that I wobbled around like a novice, maybe a video wouldn't be good :lol
-
I there in July (have been before) and was going to do a couple of laps but they would not let bikes on due to a crash leaving oil on the road.
We waited around for a few hours because a few of our party had never been round but then it started rain too so we sacked it off.
To make we jumped on the autobahn back to Bitburg and maxed the bikes out :evil
-
Yes we stayed in a hotel in Adenau, had a walk up the side of the track to see, then watched the track open for the public, it was crowded, then at 6.00pm we went on, i was alot quieter then.
My mate on his gixxer bottled it and pootled around, shit him up with cars coming up on you.
The strange thing is that the track has lots and lots of blind track, humps, bends just appear and some go on and on, i will put a clip up where i nearly went onto the grass,
you have to be very careful and stay within what you feel safe,,,no hereo to zero for me :lol

You need to up your game - couldn't you go any faster? :lol
Jealous. One day.....
-
I wish Nick, it really is quite blind, the bends tighten up in some places, crests, you just got to stay safe, need to learn it a bit more now.
You would like to go wide for all bends but you gotta watch out for fast approaching cars on the left,so have to be real switched on,Ian did not like it, he went quite slow, bottled it really, says his visor was too dark.
-
Yes Bill , been a few times , stay at the Tiergarten the place owned by Sabine Schmidt of top gear fames sister and aunt , the biggest problem is going over a rise and not knowing where the road goes so you back off only to find you could keep it pinned ! Lol
-
Yes Dave, the lads i went with usually stay there too but it was booked up.
Here is the long straight to the finish
