If the cables are adjusted and no error on tachograph......use ear plugs an ride....if your thinking about disconnecting cables the bike will have no power...keep try to find sweet spot on cable tightness....have you had valve out you may have dropped spacer into collector box and that's rattling around

The rattle is caused by two things, the phosphor-bronze bushes are worn (x2, one in the cover and one in inside of the headers where the valve locates), the end of the exup valves are worn (the tight cables will have worn it on one side) - or both the bush and valve are worn. So, get replacement bushes from a local dealer and hunt around on ebay, gumtree, here for a replacement valve that's not worn or bent.

NB. The spacer Eddie is referring to sits on the end of the valve between the valve and the inside bush.

Cheers guys, the rattle starts at 4000 rpm, gone 200rpm either side..had the valve out at the start of the year to lube and check over...will take out again and check bushes, reassemble with care and spend some time getting the cables "just right ".....will update outcome.....thanks again  ;)
