Title: headlight! going to be a deadlight soon
Post by: Paulfzs on 25 July 2014, 10:47:38 pm
no matter what i try i cannot get this headlight to adjust properly!!

4 screws, top left, top right, middle left and middle right...

top left moves the left beam down and left or up and right...
top right moves right beam down and left or up and right
middle 2 do nothing...

was adjusting left bulb down and left and it clicked then centred itself now wont do anything... do i need to take them apart? if so will a gas oven work?

Yes and yes.
The middle screws adjust the reflectors left and right, the top ones do the vertical adjustment. it sounds as though you may have wound one of the screws completely out, though I'm surprised a bit of clockwise hasn't persuaded it to relocate again. Alternatively, it may be the reflector has popped off the ball mount (bottom left). Either way, taking it apart isn't too difficult and gives a good opportunity to clean the insides.
