Please can anyone tell me if this is synthetic oil or not and can I use it on my fzs600 ?
-
That looks like car oil. I wouldn't use it as it probably has friction modifiers in which don't do bike clutches any favours.
-
Gonna have to spend more money I don't have :-(. 5 litres of oil is a weekend ride out gone... Boo hoo. :-P
-
found this on their site................Promotes protection and performance in four stroke motorcycle engines requiring API SL and ACEA A2 performance products.
but that doesn't mean it's ok for your bike?
I use 15w 40 (semi syn) in my MT-01 but it's air cooled and slow revving, it says 20w 40 in the service book but its hard to find in this country.

For the sake of £20 do you want to potentially harm your engine? I know the likelihood is low, but its whether you want to take the risk of being uncertain
-
When was the last oil change, you can safely go up to 6000 miles now?
This is the most reasonable price for a known motorbike oil i could find.
Delivered Monday though. Splash out a whole 3 quid more elsewhere on Ebay and get it Friday instead.

For the sake of an extra few quid, I always thought it's worth sticking to a proper motorcycle oil. Worth even missing a day's riding for.
3 things I won't skimp on with my bikes: oil & filter changes, tyres, brakes; and I'm not made of money either. :)
-
I'd also add chain to that list as well ;)
-
that is normal engine oil for a car with additives, not for bike engines with oil cooled clutches.
-
plus you need your hydrocracked oil for your low-wax composition, honest I've just googled it?
