Title: suspension setup help needed
Post by: keratos on 10 July 2014, 09:26:32 pm
read this,
http://foc-u.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Suspension_setup_advice (http://foc-u.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Suspension_setup_advice)

but it talks about "bottom yolk" and "top of slider" - where are these , pics???

also, talks about subtracting the larger of two from the smaller of two? what two? also, if you subtract a large number from a small number you end up with a negative number ??

Have you seen todays suspension thread...i think it would benefit you.

Very complicated subject but if you can only adjust preload then this could be the thread for you.

See member Joerock's advice. 8)

Edit......by this i dont see myself as a suspension pro.......i am having my own issues with my Fz1 but all i can say is that it is more adjustable which only makes it much more difficult to try and adjust and more things for me to mess up but i am getting somewhere.......use test rides and a feeling of how you think the bike is rather than what others think you should have but in basic terms you do not want to be riding a see-saw with too much lurching back and forward.....it should be small and controlled movements.
